Chart View

When you click a signal, the chart view shows the full context of when and why the signal fired.

What the chart shows

Price candles

The main chart displays OHLC candlestick data at the signal’s timeframe. Green candles indicate price closed above the open. Red candles indicate price closed below the open.

Indicator overlays

Indicators relevant to the filter are overlaid on the chart. These might include:

  • Moving averages shown as lines on the price chart
  • Bollinger Bands shown as upper and lower bands around the price
  • RSI, MACD, Stochastic shown in separate panels below the main chart
  • Volume shown as bars below the price chart

The specific indicators depend on which ones your filter uses.

Signal marker

The candle that triggered the signal is marked on the chart. This lets you see the exact moment your conditions were met, with full context of the price action leading up to it.

Reading the chart

The chart gives you the information you need to decide whether to act on a signal:

  • Trend context — Is the signal occurring in an uptrend, downtrend, or range?
  • Support/resistance — Are there obvious levels nearby?
  • Indicator state — What do the indicators look like at the signal point?
  • Volume — Was there conviction behind the move?

Interacting with the chart

  • Zoom — Scroll to zoom in and out
  • Pan — Click and drag to move through time
  • Crosshair — Hover to see exact values at any point
